YouTube Trend Explorer User Guide

STEP 1: Copy Your Purchased Tool (Google Sheets Format)

This tool is a Google Sheets file with embedded Google Apps Script (GAS) automation. For security, the original file has "view-only" permissions.

To use the automation features, you must click "File" → "Make a copy" in the original spreadsheet's toolbar to create your own copy.

The copy includes all programming, so no code editing is necessary.

STEP 2: Execute "Start Keyword Research" from Menu

Next, search for high-view YouTube videos by keyword.

Click "Start Keyword Research" from the custom "Menu" we've provided.

First-time execution requires an authentication process. Please refer to our guide:

A text box will appear for keyword input. Enter your desired research keyword and click "OK".

The search process begins with your specified keyword. Videos matching your keyword will be output to the "Results" sheet, showing up to 500 videos sorted by highest view count.

Technical Notes:

  • Data is retrieved using YouTube Data API with specified keywords and view count sorting. Results may not exactly match YouTube website search results.
  • The "Results" sheet clears and overwrites with each "Start Keyword Research" execution. Copy results to another sheet for backup if needed.
  • Columns U (Days Since Upload) through X (Comments/Day) contain auto-calculation formulas. Do not delete these.
  • Using spreadsheet's "Sort" function may break formulas in columns U-X. For analysis requiring sorting, copy values to another sheet first.
